History for Animals

What a child sees | a heartwarming video about children & animals

I watched this heartwarming, hope-inducing video yesterday and just had to share with all of you. Two minutes I wish the whole world could see. These children are so compassionate, it really filled my heart and the video, by Compassion Over Killing was so well made!

Wishing all of you a peaceful winter and a merry Christmas ❤

I’ve been meaning to share this beautiful “Peaceful Winter” Christmas card illustration by Katharina Rot Illustration with all of you for a while now… and what better time than right now? :) Katharina Rot is a vegan illustrator and animal rights activist from Hamburg, Germany. She illustrates images with messages of love and protecting animals. […]

The real price of dairy

This short video is so powerful. I couldn’t watch this and not share. How we allow this to happen, all the time, I don’t understand. How this is the norm… I can’t understand. Actually, this is by no means the worst of the dairy industry. Humans are the only species that drink milk past infancy […]

Help put an end to the Cove’s dolphin slaughter

When I first heard about the Cove a few years ago, I could hardly believe it. Dolphins are one of the most loved animals in the world, how are so many of them (around 20,000) getting captured and brutally killed every year?! For those of you who have been visiting FLC for some time now, […]

How wolves change rivers (aka how nature works it’s magic)

Time for a little break from Lake Como. I watched this video by Sustainable Human when it first came out and I have no idea why I didn’t post it before (actually, now that I think about it, must have been exams and assignments…). I posted it on my Facebook page, but now that I’ve […]

You can find beauty in the smallest of places

Take a snail, a lot of patience, a macro lens, the artistic eye of Vyacheslav Mishchenko and you’ve got these incredible photographs. I was in awe of these photos when I first saw the “Magical World Of Snails” on Demilked (and still am!), so I had to share the magic with all of you. It’s […]

Massive victory for whales & the world!

When you share petition after petition after petition for years, you hope to one day hear the wonderful news that the change you’ve been waiting and wishing for has finally arrived. Well, today was that marvelous day! I woke up to this lovely news on my Facebook newsfeed this morning and have seen it everywhere […]

Hi everyone! Can you please take just a few moments out of your day to take my dissertation survey? I would be so grateful if you were able to share it and ask all your friends and family to do it, too! I need a variety of participants from all around the world with various […]

Hope for Orangutans: Kellogg’s committing to sustainable palm oil

Over three years ago, I wrote about two Girl Scouts challenging Kellogg’s to drop palm oil from their Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies in order to protect endangered animals such as the orangutans and tigers, rainforests and tribes in Borneo and Sumatra. It may have seemed like a long time coming, but we finally have […]

Have you seen Blackfish, the movie that’s making waves?

I hope this movie makes history. Right now, it’s looking like it’s on its way to doing just that. I haven’t posted in a while, but I recently watched Blackfish and remembered why I started Four Leaf Clover in the first place. This documentary shows a little background history as to how killer whales got […]
