Unique & recycled coffee bean pillows

Don’t you just love finding a cool product and then realizing it’s good for the planet, too? These pillows from Australian company Vèlvet Bēan are handmade, recycled coffee bean bags! I love their slogan: “reducing landfill, one coffee sack at a time” So often we don’t realize how big of an impact one item that we buy can have on the world so it’s great to see companies doing their part to make footprints of certain products smaller. What do you think of these pillows? Which is your favorite (psst.. there’s more)? I found these pillows on Sara White’s very pretty This & That blog.

Love that first pillow! I think this is an awesome idea… too bad I don’t need a new pillow or I’d totally buy one :)

how fantastic!! i love these. i wonder if they’re scratchy though, or if they’ve been worked into softness?

Burlap is totally my middle name. I love the look of these and the fact that they’re green, but I
wonder if they’re comfortable to have on your couch or super itchy like typical burlap.

These are wonderful. I love seeing materials recycled. Though, honestly, I like coffee bean sacks even more on chairs than pillows.

Love those pillows. But what I really want are one of those hedgehogs. Brilliant!

I wish I could tell you if the pillows are soft or not. I’m sure they’re softer than your all-new burlap as they’ve been through a lot, but whether they’re soft enough to sleep on, I’ve no idea. Each one is unique so I’m sure they all vary in feel as well.
