We would literally astound ourselves

I hope you’ve all had a splendid week! Someone checked on my last poll (there’s a new one up now if you’re interested!) that they’re down in the dumps and, whoever you are, I really hope that you’ve been able to pick yourself up and out of that moment. I’ve been thinking about you!

Isn’t this place pretty? It’s the “magic field“, on its third stage from what I’ve seen: first there were red poppies and a few purplish-blue flowers, then it was full of white daisies, and now it has many of these beauties. I had no idea a plot of land could change so much, in such a short amount of time, all on its own. Nature sure is full of beauty and wonder.

This quote by Thomas Edison astounded me because, when I pondered over it, I realized that it was completely true! If we all did our very best, we’d completely surprise ourselves. Just thinking back to projects I’ve done, the ones I worked the hardest on were the ones I was always the most impressed with, proud of, and surprised that they came out better than expected. If we did the same with our days and moments, we’d be pleasantly surprised time and time again. We just don’t give ourselves enough credit.

This weekend I hope that you are able to astound yourself with doing more than you even thought you were capable of. Whatever you do, I wish for it to be a good one. Cheers!

Sometimes I think I’m absolutely crazy for taking on as many projects as I do, but it’s true — you can astound yourself with what you will accomplish. All you need is belief and hard work. Or, at least, that’s been my winning combination so far. A little bit of luck definitely helps too.
