Merry Christmas!

I woke up this morning to the beautiful sight of snow falling outside my window. I got my wish for a white Christmas and my family together for the first time in five years! I hope for all of you that your wishes come true and that you have a lovely holiday. I may post a few things here and there from now until the new year, but I can’t make any promises. I’m going to do my best to enjoy this time and I hope you will too! I’ve had so much fun working on this blog and I thank all of you for either looking at my blog, reading it, and/or commenting. I very much appreciate it. It’s been a great end to a year full of ups and downs. I’m already looking forward to getting back to daily writing on here and doing what I can to make 2011 a better year for the world (with your help)!

I’ve posted a couple photos for you. This is my first year in Switzerland and we didn’t quite know what to expect with the Christmas tree selection. We ended up getting a very different kind of Christmas tree from our usual and, even though it’s taller than me, it seems small. But that’s perfectly okay because I can just go out on my balcony to see this beautiful, snow-covered tree.

D’aww, what a cute, cheerful Christmas tree. :]
And that snow-covered big pine tree outside is GORGEOUS. :o
The Christmas tree has a funny shape to it, for sure – probably what makes it look small – but it’s definitely unique and charming.

I had a great Christmas, and I’m super glad you did too! :D

I’m so happy to hear that, Lauren! We were worried we wouldn’t get a tree at all so, funny-shaped or not, I’m happy about it. It’s super nice being surrounded by these tall, beautiful trees just out my door, too!
