Help put an end to the Cove’s dolphin slaughter

dolphins
When I first heard about the Cove a few years ago, I could hardly believe it. Dolphins are one of the most loved animals in the world, how are so many of them (around 20,000) getting captured and brutally killed every year?!

For those of you who have been visiting FLC for some time now, you know I don’t support the harm of any animal and oftentimes find myself wondering how we brought our world to this point. Having said that, we can make a difference.

I hear people say that “petitions don’t make a difference”, but having been signing petitions for so many years, I know that that is simply not true. You can take a quick look at my victory tagged posts to see for yourself.

Please join me in signing this petition to President Obama, Vice President Biden and Kenichiro Sasae, Ambassador of Japan to the United States asking them to help stop the slaughter in Taiji, Japan. The main reasons for the Cove are to collect dolphins for the entertainment industry as well as for the meat industry (often mislabeled and full of toxic mercury).

They need 1,000,000 signatures by April! Please sign and share to help them reach their goal and help finally put an end to this slaughter. It only takes a few seconds, but can make a huge difference. Thank you so much!

Wow, they allready crossed the 900 000 mark! Whoot! I also believe petitions can create change. Even if sometimes it is just by spreading awareness!

Oh my goodness, I remember watching a documentary about this years ago! Can’t believe it’s still an ongoing issue – how heartbreaking!
