Stick up for yourself, never mind what anybody else done

I watched this video titled XOXO yesterday thanks to clothing store Free People and its blog. It’s directed by photographer Anna Palma for an agency called Swell and I liked it so much I had to share it with you. It almost looks as though these two adorable kids, Callie and Dylan, were dressed up in very fashionable outfits and filmed for the fun of it. The girl is such a great little ballerina and it was nice seeing kids just be kids for once. The video really cheered me up and inspired me. I love the polka dot room and had to laugh when the boy wiped his lip at the very end.

One of the things I liked the most about this video was the song choice! The song is Ambling Alp by Brooklyn, NY band Yeasayer. I’ve been listening to it all day long. I really like the positive and upbeat words and tune. There’s a whole back story to the song about boxing which is kind of hard for me to picture now after watching this video.

This video makes me wish I was a little girl again who could dance like a professional ballerina and, yet, it makes me want to go after my current dreams… all in one.

I’m in love with this video. With a background in gymnastics/dance I LOVE it. I also love the brand Free People. Wish their clothing was a little more affordable.

Cassie – I completely agree with you. I love Free People’s clothing, but it is quite pricey.
I was beginning to think maybe I was the only one in love with this video, ha! So I’m glad you said something!

I seriously adore all the clothing in this video. I need to find some sparkly mary janes and start taking ballet lessons again. ASAP.

Brandi – I feel the same way!
