Her secret is patience

This could easily be used as a life tip. Patience is something I struggle with; I’m sure it’s my biggest weakness. This quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson is so true and beautiful. I must read some of his work. I felt that this rose photo of mine fit perfectly with his words. I immediately picture the flower slowly blooming and becoming the definition of beauty. I hope to “adopt the pace of nature” which is patience so that I may too one day create beauty in this world of ours. Have a beautiful weekend, my friends.

I know what you mean about being patient, it can be really hard especially when your waiting for something. I think it is something that you get better at with age and wisdom

I sure hope so, Zoya. I feel like I’m ALWAYS waiting for something, ha! I guess we’ll just wait and see. ; )

I worked with children for some time and learned a whole lot of patience at that job. I think it’s one of my biggest assets now. I can wait patiently and still greet someone with a smile. Now, when it comes to the future, I can be a bit impatient for that. We just need to keep reminding ourselves to enjoy the moment.

Love this quote, love Emerson. I read him in a graduate seminar last year, and I just love the way he describes moods in a life as beads. You have to read him! There are a million quote-worthy things in his work.

Brandi – So true! Over and over I hear how it’s important to live in the “now”, but it’s hard when you grew up always thinking about the future. I’m trying to be in the moment and enjoy it as much as possible now. It makes life SO much more enjoyable!

Rachel – Yes! I definitely do! What did you read? Anything in particular you’d recommend?

that’s definitely a tough one for me too! it’s funny, i can be incredibly patient in my job {i’m a therapist}, but for everything else in life, i just want things to get where they need to be right away. as i get older, i get better at this, but it’s still tough.

I LOVE this picture!! The rose is absolutely beautiful!! I still think you need to take up photography for a living. You would be an awesome photographer!! And I definitely need to learn patience myself. That is something I am trying to work on!! There are so many things in my life that would be different had I been patient enough for them to work through. So that is something I am going to learn!!!

Kimbirdy – It’s so reassuring to know that others get more patient as time goes on and that they’ve noticed! I suppose I feel the same, but I think it’s more because I had no other choice, ha!

Misty – Thank you! You’ve seen it before (Facebook). ๐Ÿ˜‰ Photography is a huge part of my blog so, for right now, it’s a huge part of my living. ๐Ÿ™‚ If only there were an easy method for that, eh? To learn patient…
