Stop the deaths in Libya

Reading the news these days has become much harder. I’m sure you’ve heard of the hundreds of deaths in Libya where “Colonel Qaddafi’s armed forces are using machine guns and fighter jets against pro-democracy protesters”. It’s unbelievable. One of my brothers visited Libya over a year ago and said it’s very sad because he found the people to be some of the warmest and friendliest he’d ever met. Watching as the death toll goes up and just shaking my head is not enough, I’m so glad Avaaz has started a petition to help the people of Libya. If you’d like to sign it, please click on the image above or the link here. Thank you!

amazing what is going down in the middle east right now. the people are taking charge; it’s liberating, but heartbreaking at the same time. change in power is rarely blood-free. i just wonder what is coming next for these countries. egypt is in military control now, will that be better than the dictatorship. im hoping so.
