Finally sharing the beauty

Quite a few people have mentioned to me that my ‘Beauty‘ category contains no make-up posts. I’m sorry! There’s just so much to write about and I wear so little make-up that it doesn’t come to mind too often. Today I finally took a photo of a few of my cosmetics to share with all of you. I have a bunch of things I plan on doing still today (thank you so much for the advice!) so I’ll just make this post short and sweet. The mascara I’ve used a bunch, but the other two, as you can see, haven’t really been touched. I’m one of those people who has to completely use something up before I throw it away. While that may be good for the environment, that expiration date is always on the back of my mind. Luckily, I’m almost done with a bunch of products that are currently in my make-up bag and I can’t wait to start using this foundation! The Physicians Formula products were purchased at Target so super easy to get (at least it was in the US. I still need to find natural cosmetics here in Switzerland) and the 100% Pure mascara I actually have two of; my friend Lauren gave me a tube for Christmas one year and the other I got from my mother. Many “natural” cosmetics aren’t always all that natural so it’s always important to double check. I use the website; so far it’s had every product I’ve looked up and has great information! What make-up products do you use? What’s your can’t live without item?

Physician’s Formula is wonderful! Haven’t tried their mascara, but now definitely want to.

Jackie – I haven’t tried their mascara either. The mascara pictured and the one I wrote about is by the brand 100% Pure. I do like 100% Pure’s mascara, though, it’s just really tough to get off if you use too much/smudge it.

Aw, cool!! πŸ˜€
Ha, I was like, “*squint* Hey, that tube looks familiar…” xD
I’m so glad you still like it!
I don’t think I’ve heard of Physician’s Formula’s organic line before. Looks pretty neat. =)
I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to makeup; if I’m going somewhere, usually I just put on some bareminerals foundation to cover up any pimples and/or the redness on and around my nose. Sometimes I put on lip gloss, but it’s usually stuff from sample tubes I have around. I’d love to get more of 100% Pure’s stuff, I just love their whole concept and what they can do with all-natural ingredients.

Lauren – I still have some BareMinerals make up left over that I’m trying to use up and I’m so glad that I’m almost done with it. I thought of featuring them here in my post, but I then remembered that they’re not a natural company as they claim to be. A while back, I checked their products on the website I mentioned in this post ( and many of them are very hazardous and have cancer-causing ingredients among other things.

This is going to sound weird but I had no idea they made organic make-up. This is awesome that the make-up industry is even doing this that are better for the environment. Even if it isn’t that big of a step, its still good. Where can you get this kind of make-up? Do they have anything in Columbus?

Oh, and as for my “can’t live without” product would definitely be my mascara and eyeliner! If I found some eyeliner that is organic to go along with your mascara that you have (any idea where your friend was able to buy that at?), I would be set!!!

Misty – The Physicians Formula make-up I posted here was from our Target in Columbus! Oh… how I miss it!
I think I have some organic eyeliner, but I’ve only ever used it once. I really liked it, though! As for the 100% Pure mascara here, my mom got some (and I bet Lauren did, too) at QVC or HSN… one of those networks. I’ve posted the links to the companies in the post if you want to check them out and see what else they have to offer.

That is awesome! I will definitely have to go check it out now next time I go to Target! So, is all the Physicians Formula make-up organic? I can’t tell by looking at the website. I see there is one kind that says its “100% organic” but that is the only one…

Misty – I think only their “Organic Wear” line is organic. If you type in “organic” to the search, you’ll see all of the organic products. It would probably just be best to check them out on the store and read the ingredients, check that it’s an organic kind.
Also! There’s this super cool looking mascara:
And you mentioned that eyeliner is a must for you:

Ha! Great minds think alike! That was the mascara I was looking at! And our Target has a HUGE selection of Physicians Formula!! And its cheaper there than online too!! The link you gave me for the eyeliner was the same one for the mascara. But I did find both and got some πŸ™‚

Misty – Sorry about the link mix up! You purchased the mascara and eyeliner at Target?! That’s great! Let me know how they work and how you like them once you try them out!

I did! They are amazing actually!! I LOVE the eyeliner so much more than the kind I usually get! And the mascara is really good. Gonna have to get used to the brush/bristles on it though! Its humungous (sp?)!!! I even went to Wal-Mart a little bit ago and they even have a section for Phsycians Formula there too! Surprisingly, they were more expensive than Target though! So that was a shocker!

But the mascara and eyeliner are great! The eyeliner says it doesn’t smear, smudge, and something else (can’t remember now) and I’ve had it one for 3 hours now and it still looks just as great as it did when I applied it! Thats a definite plus for this πŸ™‚ Thanks again for reccommending this! I have now found my new favorite make-up brand πŸ™‚

Misty – Well, that is awesome! I’m so glad I wrote this post and that you love the make-up! I’m jealous that you have that cool-looking mascara, ha! That’s really interesting about Wal-Mart, but it’s a good thing you went to Target first. Now you know that what you’re putting on your face is so much better for you!
