Recently found & worth noting

I’ve gathered so many interesting and news-worthy links lately that I’ve decided to summarize and bunch them all up in one post to share with you. I hope you find something worthy of your interest!

Annie Leibovitz’s Disney Dream Portrait series – I saw a few of these Disney Dream Portraits before, but this was the first time I saw all of them together. I wonder what gave them the idea, but it’s definitely interesting to see celebrities in Disney characters. What do you think of seeing Hollywood stars as your favorite Disney roles?

Rest In Peace, Knut & Knut: A polar bear story – It made me so sad when I read that famous German polar bear Knut died. He was only four years old; polar bears usually live up to 15-30 years. How awful it must have been to the people, especially children, who were there to witness his death.

Date a girl who blogs – This is just overall cute and made me smile. If any of my fellow bloggers read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Should all guys get a handout?

Luxury racing bikes exquisitely crafted of mahogany wood by Sueshiro Sano – I always love to see new and different styles of bikes and these are definitely new and different! (Found on Alpha Scout)

Shipwreck threatens island penguins & Atlantic oil spill: 20,000 endangered penguins coated in crude on Tristan Da Cunha Islands – This really worries me. There was a shipwreck on an island which caused an oil spill and endangered penguins are in peril. Not only that, but they’re worried that possible rats on the boat will pose a threat. Conservationist say this could be an “environmental disaster”. ‘Oil spill’ seems to be becoming a common phrase in the news these days.

On American priorities: 10 things we could have done with the Iraq war money – Good.is has arranged 10 different issues which could have been paid for if so much money had not gone to the Iraq war. It’s really interesting and shows money as more than just a number.

And last, but most definitely not least. Remember when I wrote about Colbie Caillat’s new song I Do? Well, I just found out she released a video that is just as cheerful as the song:

wow, so many things! i really love the annie leibovitz photos. they’re a really interesting take on the disney classics (although i’m really NOT a fan of disney). and the “date a girl who blogs” made me smile too. it’s sort of a funny, lighthearted take on life as a female blogger.

Love these finds, Eva! The Date a Girl who Blogs piece is great, though if a guy ever proposed to me via a website, I’d hit him and tell him to do it again. I love blogging but I’m hooked on real life right now.

I’m glad you all like the links!

Kimbirdy – I have mixed feelings about Disney (I love the classics!), but I’m unsure about the company. It was really interesting seeing the celebrities in Disney character roles and some choices surprised me.

Brandi – Your comment made me laugh. I think I’d do the same thing! I love that you’re “hooked on real life”. : )

Krystal – I know… They’re saying it’s from brain damage which is so odd.

Eva! I can completely see why you’ve included all these amazing links in stellar post. I am currently in LOVE with “Date a Girl Who Blogs” and I’m e-mailing it over to the Jon….immediately! I was reading the comments below the article and I laughed out loud when one reader wrote:

“I dated (attempted more like) a girl who had a blog about side pony tails – or pony tails worn to the side.

It didn’t go well.”

Thanks for sharing these amazing finds!

Viv – Your comment made me realize that I don’t use the word “stellar” enough. I need to get on that!

Also, so glad you like this post and the “Date a girl who blogs” link! I was surprised to find that it was written by a guy.
I read that comment, too, ha!

You are most welcome! : )
