There’d be no butterflies

I have no idea where I first read this quote and I’ve never been able to trace the author, but I absolutely love it. I love butterflies and a world without them would be a very sad world. This quote really stuck with me and it’s a favorite of mine. It’s a good reminder for me to keep on changing and that change isn’t a bad thing at all. I’ve always been one to welcome change (must be all the moving!) even though sometimes I’d need a few months to get used to the change. I’ve actually wanted to share this quote with you for a while now, but I couldn’t find my old photos with butterflies. A couple days ago, when I took some flower photos, I was lucky enough to have this butterfly take a short break next to where I was standing and I was able to capture this shot. The surroundings may not be that nice, but it just makes the butterfly stand out all the more. Have a beautiful weekend, my friends, and don’t forget about Earth Hour! Just one hour for the Earth that is so full of wonder like caterpillars changing into butterflies.

That quote rings so true and so inspiring. Sometimes the changes are overwhelming, but once you get used to them, they usually happened for a reason. πŸ™‚

I absolutely LOVE this quote as well as the photograph! Although, at times I am hesitant to change, I usually welcome it with open arms. It just depends on the situation some times.

As weird as this is going to sound, in my psychology class, we were talking about changes people have to face in every day life. Did you know, on average, it takes someone 18 months to accept the changes they face in their life (whether it be school, work, family, etc.)? I found that very interesting. Plus, I got to see all the steps people go through before they finally accept the change! Its so cool though!

I do love this post! I’m glad you chose this for Friday’s quote/picture post πŸ™‚

Beautiful photo, Eva! Butterflies are so breathtaking. I also love the quote “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” -unknown
