Break me off a piece of that loaf, please!

I urge you to take a few minutes and watch this short documentary about San Francisco’s bakery Tartine Bakery & Cafe and its baker Chad Robertson and his love for Tartine bread. Every time I see this video or the photography from this cookbook, all I want to do is eat a whole loaf of this bread. I found this video on This & That back in April and have been dreaming of Tartine bread ever since. I love how in the video they show the whole process from start to finish and in many different forms. It’s clear how passionate Chad Robertson is about bread and it’s commendable that he’s sharing his techniques with the world. If ever I go to San Francisco, Tartine Bakery will be a must on my places to visit! Another must: bake delicious bread at home!

Isn’t this video so inspiring? I watch it at least once every couple of weeks, no lie. I’m going to be sharing a very easy bread recipe sometime soon. Hopefully next week if I can get my act together and bake this weekend!

Bread is literally my favorite food in the whole world. And I don’t care who knows it. YUM.

I’m so going to have to visit this place when I’m in San Fran later this month. And I will eat myself into a food coma.

Love the video. I’m so tortured by it right now though, as I’m in day 3 of my gluten free, vegan, low sugar diet. All I want is pizza.

oh yes! tartine was definitely a frequented stop over the years living in sf. i loved walking down to the mission on saturday mornings, grabbing some morning pastries and people-watching in the park {people there are pretty much all carnies}.
