Swimming in new waters

This past weekend, I finally went swimming for the first time this year. It was so cold, but so refreshing and worth it! I liked it so much that I went again yesterday which, according to the weather predictions, is the last sunny and hot day for a while. I swam in the Rhein (aka Rhine) river and thought it was quite a lovely setting. The place where I was along the river was very rocky and boats (little and big) went to and fro throughout the whole time. The big white boat pictured above even had a playing orchestra! The weather has been so weird lately starting out sunny and hot and then leading to a storm. Luckily, I was able to take advantage of the sunshine.

In other even more exciting news, I started an internship with Ecorazzi this week! Ecorazzi is one of my favorite websites and I’m really thankful to be working for them. They feature many articles a day about “green gossip” which includes animal rights, human rights, the environment, and celebrities that are working to make a difference. It’s actually the website that first got me to consider making a website of my own and here I am a few years down the road with FLC.

Congratualtions on the internship! That is exciting!!
Love those pictures too. You said how it’s probably the last hot and sunny day for awhile. I’m curious as to how the weather normally is there?…

“Green Gossip” is such a great concept! I love your photos – how fun to just swim in a river! That would be a muddy mess here. It sounds so European ; )

Thank you for all of the congratulations!! : )

Rachael – Oh gosh, I wish I knew! Saturday it was super hot and yesterday and today it feels like winter. Last summer there were only a few warm weeks and the rest of the time I had to wear a sweater, at least! This summer is tons better on that aspect, but so far the forecast is saying rainy and cold for the rest of the week! Sorry I can’t really answer your question!

These pictures are gorgeous! It makes me want to go to a place that has a river/shore like this and go swimming/take some pictures! It makes me jealous! Hopefully it’ll be nice next week for your birthday that you can go have some fun!!

And congratulations (again!) on getting the internship! That is so exciting! Hopefully it doesn’t get too overwhelming with you blog and possibly school (if you will still have the internship when you go to school that is)! Atleast you do have something to keep you occcupied! And it will help get you that much closer to your goals! Congratulations dear! I’m so proud and happy for you!

Sorry to be so tardy with my congratulations on your Ecorazzi internship! Your voice will be such a valuable addition!

Am I so tardy I’ve missed your birthday? Hope not, but if I did, I hope you enjoyed a very special one!

I am really smitten with your photo of the rocks in the water. So languid and refreshing and pretty!
