The truth about sharks

I feel that all of the issues I write about for One Green Planet are extremely important, but I didn’t quite notice just how important this one was until I wrote my article The Silent Decline of Sharks and How You Can Help Turn it Around. Sharks are imperative to our lives and they’re not the scary creature they’ve been portrayed as. Please read my article and share it (post/like it on Facebook, tweet it, etc.) so that others may know the truth about sharks. With most issues in our world, it all comes down to awareness and how we use that knowledge. Thank you!

great article eva! i it is horrible what humans do to animals in general, but seeing a documentary about sharks and how the demand for shark fins, make people cut of the fins and leave the shark back for dying, broke my heart! horrible!!
have a nice and hopefully sunny weekend! xox

Jessie – Thanks for checking out my blog and this article!

Kristina – Thank you!! It really is insane what people do… they make it out to be for their benefit, but they’re/we’re actually killing ourselves in doing so.

This makes me so sad to hear. Sharks are such fascinating creatures, I’d hate to have them disappear. You did a really great job on the article though. When I read about the shark finning, I couldn’t help but flinch. How someone could do that to a living/breathing creature is beyond me.
