Illuminated world

Welcome back… to you, to me, and an overall welcome to anyone new to my blog! And welcome 2011; here’s to a fantastic year! I’m very much looking forward to this year. There’s so much information I can’t wait to share with all of you and I know I’m going to learn so much at the same time.

These are a few photos I took on Christmas Eve night. The falling snow with the lights made some really nice effects I’ve never gotten on my camera before. Honestly, I was thrilled that they didn’t come out too blurry like night photos are so inclined to do for me. The snow, the lights, walking with my family, and it being Christmas Eve made for a magical night.

While on this walk, we spotted an adorable little display in a window. In front of the display was a music box which played the song Brahms’s Lullaby (a.k.a. Cradle Song). I’ve seen a few other windows like this in the different places I’ve been to in the past few weeks here in Switzerland. A very nice touch to an otherwise empty, cold window.

That first picture is just perfect. It’s bittersweet somehow.
