Oh snap!

I got these delicious cookies for Christmas and they are fantastic! Not only do they taste great, but they’re vegan too! In case you didn’t know, I’m vegan. I’ve been vegan for just over a year now. But I’ll get into that another time. Right now it’s all about these cookies! They are ginger snap cookies. Now, I’ve had ginger snap cookies before, but none of them have come close to the taste of these. They were bought at IKEA and they’re from a company called Gille in Sweden. I’m snacking on them now as I write this. My only concern is that I’ve only a few left and no idea if I can get ahold of them anytime soon. Luckily, a few cookies are quite filling so I’ve been able to share them with others and eat only a bit a day and, yet, I’m still able to indulge in their yumminess so many days after Christmas. I’m hoping they’ll be available next year. If not, I just might have to track them down somewhere in a store nearby.

I can’t forget to mention the lovely tin they came in. I’m a fan of cookie tins and this is the nicest one I’ve ever had. The artwork is from the Kalmar Läns Museum by Jenny Nyström.

Yummmm! Those DO look good! And the tin is really pretty 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cookie tin/Christmas tin like that! Not with a snowball fight going on anyway. So adorable! Any idea if these cookies area available in the U.S.? I would LOVE to try some!!!

Hey Misty! I looked around online a bit and I think the only way you could get these cookies in the US is if you’d get lucky and find it in an international section of a normal grocery store or seek out a European/Swedish food store.
So true about the tin. Makes me wish I had played out in the snow while it stuck around!

I’ve tried these. Some lady brought them in to work and the entire tin was devoured in one brainstorming meeting. Good stuff!

Thanks for the comment, Cassie! I’m not surprised, I imagine most people would love these cookies. Can’t think of a thing not to like about them!

K I promise I’ll stop commenting on your blog.. haha but I really like it! I like how passionate you are about things. It’s refreshing.
I too am a fan of candy tins. I have one in my room that I got at this old vintage store. I use it to hold all of my coupons.. haha.

Haylee – Haha, no worries, I absolutely love comments! Thank you; your words mean so much. Comments like this are a big reason I keep chugging along with my blog.
I’m still trying to decide what to fill my, unfortunately, empty tin with now.
