The forecast is looking Partly Cloudy

I had the pleasure of watching this adorable short film Partly Cloudy from Pixar the other day. It’s directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Kevin Reher and was shown with Up in cinemas. When I was younger and 3D was something new and expensive, the short films at the beginning were what I most looked forward to watching, often times even more so than the actual film. To this day I remember a Christmas short film with a snowman… if only I could still watch it today! Pixar has proven that they still put just as much detail into their short films as their feature films.
Partly Cloudy answers the question we always wondered: where did the storks get the babies from? (I love the beginning of Dumbo when the storks deliver all of the animal babies.) The answer is clouds! Clouds form the babies and then pass them along to the storks to deliver to their mothers. There is one cloud whose job is to make the not so cuddly animals and his partner stork gets the rough end of the deal. I found the short film in full online so check it out!

I really just adore this wonderfully sweet film. It absolutely melted my heart the first time I watched it. And then to see Up afterward? I was a puddle.

Looove this short! A cute story about friendship.
Here I’m sending you an other pixar that is related to the movie WALL-E, which I loved from the very first moment and also give us an idea of how world can be if we don’t think twice of what we do with our garbage, our water and our resources.

I’m so <3n' it!!!

Brandi – I wish I’d been able to see Up in cinemas, but by the time it got to the UK, I had gone back to America and when I was there, it was already out in cinemas! So I didn’t get to catch this short film till recently.

Xam – Such a funny, cute story! It looked vaguely familiar, but I don’t recall ever watching it in full. Thank you for sharing it with me! And I absolutely loved Wall-E, too. 🙂

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this short film before! D: Usually I’m pretty up on these things (Pixar things, at least). I guess I can blame that on my rented DVD of Up not including this on it…booo. 😐
This looks/sounds adorable, and since I’ll be going to my aunt’s for the Super Bowl this coming Sunday, and bringing my laptop, I’ll be able to watch it in full, without waiting 3+ hours for it to load! 😀

Aww, I remember this short film!!! It was so cute and made me sad when I first saw it! (I thought he was leaving him for good). I thought he was leaving him again when I just watched it. These videos are just the cutest though!! Thanks for sharing this again. I forgot it even existed!!
